NEW YORK - Chicago White Sox first baseman Munetaka Murakami is making progress toward returning from a right hamstring strain and has resumed baseball activities such as running, throwing and hitting off a tee, according to White Sox manager Will Venable, MLB.com reported Thursday.
The Japanese slugger suffered the injury while running the bases against the Detroit Tigers on May 29.
